The Bible says: A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. – Proverbs 18:24
Friends are so important – especially when you are a child.
What is a Friend? Someone who you can trust and who is honest with you and tell you the truth, even when it hurts. Because a true friend has your best interest at heart. They know that what they may tell you, may hurt for a little while, but in the end, you will appreciate their honesty.
There are some friendships that are formed in elementary school that stand the test of time. Those are the friendships that follow you throughout your school years into adulthood. Those relationships are precious, and they are more valuable than money. I am so blessed to have these friends. Looking back over my years at elementary school, I know I wasn’t always that good of a friend to be around, but my friends loved me despite me. And we are still friends to this day, and for that I am grateful.
I am so glad that I have the ultimate Friend who sticketh closer than a brother – and His name is Jesus Christ.
